We can’t tell you who the corporate buyer is at this point but we can tell you they are super excited to support our community. We will still be reaching out to you, all of you, for support of the non-profit that will be managing the operations. We have fundraising to do and troops to employ!! So hang tight, we still need you.

The Boulder Valley Velodrome lost a great friend t

The Boulder Valley Velodrome lost a great friend this past week. Dan Ashing passed away, losing his battle with brain cancer. Dan was one of the key individuals who helped construct the track. He then stayed around and helped maintain and repair the track for the next 4 years. Dan was responsible for most of the ideas on track repair. He taught many volunteers the finer points of construction technique using stories from his grandfather. His smile was always present and his sense of humor made working with Dan always enjoyable. Even if you never met Dan, you owe him a debt of gratitude for his efforts on the velodrome.
Dan never did ride the track, but he did show up for many races and cheered those riding.

With the closure of multiple other Velodromes, the future of American track cycling is at risk.
